On Wednesday, National Signing Day, high school football players from around the Tri-State signed on to play college ball in 2021.

Roger Bacon star running back Corey Kiner, recently named Ohio’s Mr. Football, signed on to play at Louisiana State University (LSU) on Wednesday.

"This is a very special day, watching my dreams come true and doing it with my family," Kiner told WCPO Wednesday.

La Salle High School had four defensive backs sign with Division I schools. Davota Smith is Alabama-bound; Jalen Johnson is heading to Ohio State; Iesa Jarmon signed to play for Cincinnati; Jaymar Mundy signed to Miami (Ohio).

"It was humbling, you know?" cornerback Smith said. "It was a dream come true, really, dreams to reality."

"To see all my guys do it with me that I've grown up with playing football with, it was definitely something special," cornerback Jarmon said.

St. Xavier wide receiver Liam Clifford also signed with Penn State, where he will join his older brother, Nittany Lions QB Sean Clifford.

“I’ve been waiting for this day since I’ve been little, coming and watching all the guys that came before me watching this day,” Liam said.

The Cincinnati Bearcats also signed 23 new players Wednesday.
