CINCINNATI — FC Cincinnati announced their first player to receive a positive COVID-19 test Saturday.

In a news release, the team said all other players and club members have been tested and returned negative results.

Later, on Twitter, defender Nick Hagglund announced he was the player who tested positive.

The team said he is symptomatic and will remain in isolation until cleared by medical staff.

FC players normally receive testing every other day and before all games, the team said, but players will now be tested daily. Contact tracing is being conducted to identify those who might have come in contact with the infected player.

FC Cincinnati is still scheduled to play New York City FC Saturday evening at Red Bull Arena.
