The team said he is symptomatic and will remain in isolation until cleared by medical staff.
FC players normally receive testing every other day and before all games, the team said, but players will now be tested daily. Contact tracing is being conducted to identify those who might have come in contact with the infected player.
FC Cincinnati is still scheduled to play New York City FC Saturday evening at Red Bull Arena.
