Redsfest is returning, giving fans chance to meet ballplayers

CINCINNATI -- Missing baseball? The Cincinnati Reds will have a little pick-me-up for you at the end of the month with the annual Redsfest.

This year's event will feature more than 70 current and former Reds as the team prepares for its big 150th anniversary celebration next year. The lineup includes Joey Votto, Tucker Barnhart, Michael Lorenzen, Eugenio Suarez, new manager David Bell with his coaching staff and top prospects like Nick Senzel, Hunter Greene and Jonathan India.

The event will also include Bingo for prizes like autographed memorabilia, game tickets and cash prizes on Friday. On Saturday, there will be a poker tournament with an $11,000 first prize.

Redsfest will be held from 3 to 10:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30 and 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 at Duke Energy Convention Center Downtown. Tickets cost $25 for adults and $12 for children 12 and younger, and one-day tickets cost $17 for adults and $7 for children. Children under 3 are admitted for free.

Proceeds from the event go to the Reds Community Fund.
