CINCINNATI -- Cincinnati and Kentucky road crews were at work Tuesday night preparing for Wednesday's snow. Many independent plow drivers can't wait for the snow to arrive.

Mike Laib and the crews at Rueve Landscaping are itching to get back out in their trucks. Because of his contracts, even a little snow can bring a lot of work.

"One good snowfall a year for me's good, just to get it out of my system," Laib said.

Plow drivers aren't the only ones hoping for a whiteout: Parents find their kids acting a little more strangely than usual to get a day off school. Some rituals include wearing pajamas inside out or flushing an ice cube down the toilet.

Laib said he's never really grown out of those snow-day jitters.

"When I should be getting the most sleep is when I won't sleep because of anxiety, thinking about the snow coming," he said.
