COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio High School Athletic Association announced Wednesday afternoon the football state semifinal bracket pairings for Nov. 26-27.
The first four rounds of the playoffs follow the regional brackets, while the OHSAA then determines the state semifinal brackets, mainly based on geography.
Divisions I, II, III and IV play on Friday nights, while Divisions V, VI and VII play on Saturday nights. All playoff games kick off at 7 p.m.
The state semifinal locations will be announced this Sunday after the regional finals this weekend.
In Division I, the winner of this Friday's Region 4 final between Moeller (10-3) and Lakota West (11-1) plays the Region 2 winner of either Marysville (12-0) or Springfield (11-1) at a location to be determined this weekend.
In Division II, Piqua (12-0) or Winton Woods (10-3) plays either Region 7 or Region 6 depending on the regional final results.
In Division III, the Region 11 winner of Western Brown (11-2) and Granville (12-0) plays the Region 12 winner of Badin (12-0) or Bellbrook (11-2).
In Division IV, McNicholas (11-1) or Clinton-Massie (11-1) play either Region 14 or Region 15 depending on the regional final results Friday night.
The state finals are scheduled for Dec. 2-4 at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton.
