Moeller basketball program wins its 50th consecutive game

MASON, Ohio — The Moeller basketball program won its 50th consecutive game Friday night as the Crusaders defeated Cleveland Lutheran East 79-58 in the Ohio Valley Hoops Classic.

Moeller (1-0) was led by senior guard Max Land, junior forward Alex Williams and junior forward Logan Duncomb – all of whom scored in double figures.

Duncomb had 18 points and 13 rebounds. Land had 25 points. Williams had 14 points.

The Crusaders, the reigning back-to-back Division I state champions, are 85-4 since the state runner-up season of 2016-17.

Moeller next plays at Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary at 5 p.m. Dec. 7. Those two teams met in the Division I state final in Columbus in March. St. Vincent-St. Mary is Division II this season.
