CINCINNATI — Elder 2021 linebacker Joey Stemler announced Wednesday night that he has verbally committed to play football at Ball State University.

Stemler, listed at 6-foot-1-inch tall and 220 pounds, also had scholarship offers from Toledo, Morgan State, Eastern Illinois, Murray State and Tiffin and a roster spot opportunity from Morehead State, according to Elder coach Doug Ramsey.

Ball State offered a scholarship to Stemler on May 8.
