CINCINNATI -- Cue the campout: Reds Opening Day tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. Saturday, rain or shine -- and fans can start lining up at the ballpark 24 hours beforehand.

The Reds will host the Washington Nationals at 4:10 p.m. on Thursday, March 29 -- three days before Easter. It's the earliest Opening Day ever: The previous earliest Reds' Opening Day was March 31 in 1998, 2003, 2008, 2011 and 2014. Olympic silver medalist Nick Goepper, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch this year.

A limited supply of tickets will be available at Great American Ball Park's ticket windows Saturday, March 10. Prices range from $35 to $64, and there's a limit of four tickets per customer.

Fans can form a line starting at 9 a.m. Friday, March 9. They'll get a wristband indicating their place in line; holding spots for friends or family not in attendance is prohibited.

Other rules:

  • No alcohol.
  • No open flames or propane heaters.
  • Customers have to remain at the ballpark, with random checks until the ticket windows open Saturday.

Also Saturday the Reds Authentics Shop inside the main gates will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to noon for an exclusive sale of authenticated, game-used and autographed Reds memorabilia.

The Reds Fan Clubs Corner inside the ballpark will also open at 9 a.m., and fans can purchase 2018 memberships to the following clubs:

  • Reds Rookies Baby Club ($20, ages 0-3)
  • Reds Heads Kids Club ($30, ages 3-12)
  • Club Red ($10, ages 13-17)

Each club includes exclusive Reds gear, tickets and members-only experiences.
