HAMER TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A man is dead after a crash involving four vehicles in Highland County on Sunday, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
OSHP said the crash happened at around 8:49 p.m. Sunday evening on SR-138 in Hamer Township.
Troopers have determined that 37-year-old Daniel Vance, of Sardenia, was driving a 1973 Plymouth Duster southwest on SR-138 when he traveled left of the center line. Vance crashed into a 2008 Chevy Colorado and a 2004 Dodge Dakota, both of which were being driven by 17-year-old juveniles.
A fourth vehicle, a 2019 Ford Ranger, that had also been heading southwest on SR-138, then hit the Dodge after the initial crash, OSHP said.
Vance was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash; one of the teens and the adult driver of the Ford were both treated for minor injuries.
OSHP did not say what may have caused the crash, which is still under investigation.
