CINCINNATI — Two people are dead after a murder-suicide in Northside, Cincinnati police said.

Officers responded to the 4200 block of Chambers Street around 4:50 p.m. Thursday for the report of two people shot. When they arrived, they discovered the body of 22-year-old Dayshawn Blair and a 19-year-old woman suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Investigators said she was taken to the hospital where she later died.

The Hamilton County Coroner identified the 19-year-old as Kenzie Grace Spurlock-Flowers.

The Cincinnati Police Department's Homicide Unit and the Hamilton County Coroner's Office said Blair likely shot Spurlock-Flowers and then himself.

This is still an ongoing investigation, police said.

Anyone with information about this shooting is asked to call the CPD at 513-352-3542.

An officer responding to the shooting was involved in a crash with a gray sedan. Police Lt. Johnathan Cunningham said there were minor injuries and property damage reported as a result of the crash, but no one was taken to the hospital.

Rachel Zylka watched as the sedan and police cruiser collided while leaving a business on the corner of Chambers and Chase. She said the cruiser continued through the intersection.

"Ran off the road, onto the sidewalk, where my coworkers and the dog were standing, and ran into the building," Zylka said, "knocked out the electrical box. I literally thought my coworkers were hit, if not dead."

Her coworkers were not injured.

Police have not indicated how fast the officer was driving or whether the cruiser's lights and sirens were active at the time of the crash.
