HAMILTON COUNTY, Ohio — I-275 eastbound lanes have reopened after a tanker truck carrying liquid fertilizer caught on fire and shut the road down for hours Tuesday, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.

Hamilton County Sheriff's Office units and the Anderson Township Fire Department were dispatched to the area just after 4:45 p.m. for a report of a "semi tractor-trailer hauling a flammable fertilizer" that was on fire.

The sheriff's office said the fire department decided to close the lanes until the fire was extinguished because of the fertilizer's flammability.

All lanes were closed near Five Mile Road, but reopened around 7 p.m.

No injuries were reported, and the fire has been extinguished.
