CINCINNATI – The Cincinnati Bearcats men’s basketball team will join Baylor, George Mason and Ole Miss in the Emerald Coast Classic next Thanksgiving weekend, UC announced Thursday.
The Emerald Coast Classic is scheduled for Nov. 23-24 at The Arena on the campus of Northwest Florida State College in Niceville, Florida. Four other teams will be announced at a later date, according to a release.
UC is the marquee team of the four announced Thursday. The Bearcats (31-5) swept both the 2018 American Athletic Conference regular-season and postseason tournament titles.
Baylor, behind coach Scott Drew, went 19-15 last season, and reached the second round of National Invitation Tournament.
George Mason (16-17) returns all 12 letter winners from a team that placed fifth in the Atlantic 10.
Ole Miss (12-20) recently hired Kermit Davis from Middle Tennessee State as their new head coach.
The Bearcats lost to Ole Miss in the finals of the inaugural Emerald Coast Classic in 2014.
