DEARBORN COUNTY, Ind. — A woman injured in a fire in Dearborn County has died.

Dawn Clark, 51, of 6566 Stongate in Guilford, Ind., died at U.C. Medical Center on Tuesday, Feb. 15. Clark was injured in a fire at a home on Stonegate Drive, just south of Leon, on Monday, Feb. 14.

Firefighters found three dead dogs inside the home, which suffered a small interior fire. Crews put out the flames when they arrived on the scene.

Investigators said crews from the St. Leon Volunteer Fire Department discovered an unconscious woman inside the home. She did not appear to have any burns and was transported to the hospital.

There isn't a lot of noticeable damage on the outside of the house but a WCPO photographer on the scene said the windows appear to be smoked over.

Investigators have not said whether they know what caused the fire.
