BUTLER COUNTY, Ohio -- A driver has been indicted in the July 30 death of a Rumpke employee, according to court documents.

Brian A. Jankovich stands charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, vehicular homicide and vehicular manslaughter in the death of 52-year-old David Evans.

Jankovich is accused of hitting and killing Evans as he was throwing trash in the back of his truck along Central Avenue in Middletown. Evans had worked for Rumpke for 15 years.

Rumpke safety manager Bridgett Biggs said the news of Evans’ death was “gut wrenching.”

Evans was a 1985 graduate of La Salle High School. He spent 35 years volunteering at the Harvest Home Fair in Cheviot and was a former Key Club member.
