Closings: NKU and UC cancel classes as snow storm approaches

CINCINNATI -- As this winter's biggest snow storm approached the Tri-State on Monday many schools and organizations announced closures early.

Northern Kentucky University, Thomas More College, Xavier University and the University of Cincinnati closed their campuses in advance of an approaching storm that could dump up to 10 inches of snow in some areas of the Tri-State by days end.

The Northern Kentucky Health Department also announced their offices would be closed due to the weather.

Miami University in Oxford, Ohio stuck to their normal schedule during daytime hours, but school officials made the decision to cancel all classes that started after 6 p.m.

Many schools have been saved a snow day since they were already closed for the Presidents Day holiday.

In addition to school and other closures, the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport was experiencing a few delays and closures due to weather conditions across the country.
