RAINSBORO, Ohio -- The Paint Creek firefighter who was killed in an accident earlier this week will be laid to rest Friday.
Joe Patterson was working with compressed air cylinders at the Paint Creek Joint EMS & Fire District station Sunday when he died from blunt force trauma to the head, according to the Montgomery County Coroner.
Patterson’s visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Southeastern High School in Chillicothe, Ohio. Local fire departments will give Patterson full honors at his burial at 1 p.m. Friday at Londonderry Cemetery.

"He was just an all-around good guy," Branden Jackman said. "He never had an unkind word for somebody. He was always happy, he was always smiling, he was always tinkering with something."
Patterson was a firefighter since 2004 and an EMT since 2008. He'd been working for Paint Creek part time for three years, and also worked for other area departments. Patterson leaves behind a wife and three children.

North on Lancaster Road to US-50, left (west) on US-50 to 35 West, 35 West to SR 104 / N High Street, left (south) on N High Street, left onto E Water Street, right onto S Bridge Street, left onto Main Street, right onto 23 South / 35 East, east on US-50 to Londonderry Cemetery.
