CINCINNATI — Police discovered a dead body nearby a wrecked vehicle down an embankment off Beekman St. near Hopple St. early Friday evening.
Officers on the scene confirmed the individual found, identified by police as 20-year-old Jydale Keith, had suffered a gunshot wound.
Cincinnati PD Lt. Steve Saunders said officers originally responded to reports of a traffic crash in the area. When officers arrived and did not find the car, later identified by police as a black Nissan sedan, they investigated and later found the car and the body nearby.
Until finding the gunshot wound, investigators thought this was a traffic fatality, Saunders said.
