CINCINNATI -- Fallen police officers, especially three law enforcement officials who died earlier this year, will be honored in the annual police memorial parade Friday.

Hundreds will gather for the memorial parade at 11 a.m. Friday on Fountain Square.

The Tri-State lost three law enforcement officials in the first three months of 2019. Colerain Township Officer Dale Woods was struck by a driver in a pickup on Jan. 7 while responding to the scene of a Colerain Avenue crash. He died at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

Clearcreek Township Officer Jerrid Lee died after a suspected drugged driver hit him head-on on Jan. 28 while he was off duty.

Clermont County Sheriff’s Detective Bill Brewer was shot and killed in a standoff on Feb. 2 while trying to render aid to a man who threatened suicide.

Woods, Brewer and Lee will be honored during the memorial. The program will include an aerial salute in the missing man formation and a 21-gun salute.
