CINCINNATI — Two people are dead after an apparent murder-suicide in Hartwell Tuesday, Cincinnati police said.

Police said officers responded to a report of two people shot just before noon at the 6600 block of Leeds Lane.

Officers found a man and woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to police.

The Cincinnati Fire Department started life-saving measures before determining both people had died, police said. The Hamilton County Coroner's Office identified them as 24-year-old Jahmeila Warren and 32-year-old Eric Dawson.

Police said their initial investigation shows Dawson shot Warren before shooting himself.

The CPD Homicide Unit's investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call the homicide unit at 513-352-3542.

A previous version of this story listed Jahmeila Warren as 26 years old, according to a release from the Cincinnati Police Department Tuesday night.
