CINCINNATI -- The 8-year-old boy who was hit by a car in Avondale Monday night has died from his injuries, police said Thursday.
A woman driving west on Greenwood Avenue hit the boy at about 6:35 p.m. Monday, police previously said. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
The boy was hospitalized in critical condition at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center for days before he died.
Police said that speed and impairment were not believed to have been factors in the crash. The boy ran into the street from between two parked cars, they said.
Prosecutors have not said whether the driver would face any charges.
