FAIRFIELD, Ohio -- This is a must-watch: A 9 On Your Side viewer in Fairfield, Ohio, captured video of thundersnow Tuesday.

Jarrod Arencibia is a storm chaser and knew the potential to get thundersnow on Tuesday. So he ventured outside to see what he could capture on his GoPro camera.

Arencibia not only captured the thundersnow, he also captured his amazing reaction. It was almost like hearing Jim Cantore react to the same phenomenon. And to be completely honest, this meteorologist would have lost it too.

So what is thundersnow?

Basically put, it’s lightning that happens during a snow event that create the big crack of thunder. It’s a relatively rare event to capture on camera. It happens in areas of snow where there is stronger upward motion in the clouds.

Thundersnow is often associated with incredibly heavy snow with 2-4” rates per hour. You can also experience very high winds and low visibility. Traditionally, visibility will drop to less than a quarter mile.

Jarrod, you rock in my book, keep capturing great weather videos!
