The Flying Pig Marathon is almost here and that means a lot of eyes are on the forecast! Here's your complete rundown of what to expect from Friday through Sunday. And if you are running, best wishes!

FRIDAY: Little Kings Mile

Rain is likely to fall during the day on Friday, and we could easily have light to moderate showers still on the radar at 8 p.m. when the Little Kings Mile begins. This band of rain that is left at 8 p.m. will be moving east, so there's a chance this could move out during the race. Check in again Thursday as we'll get a better look at Friday's rain timing.

Get ready for rain

SATURDAY: Toyota 10K

The area of low pressure that brings in likely rain chances on Friday will slowly drift to the south on Saturday. This system is moving very slowly, and it's quite possible that scattered showers will still be falling on Saturday morning during the Toyota 10K. Temperatures will also be cool in the low 40s. Runners, be prepared for rain. For our spectators, please bring your rain gear and bundle up as this will be a cold rain. Remember that a 40 to 50 percent chance for rain does not guarantee rain; it's something we will continue to monitor.

Spotty showers possible, but no thunder.

SUNDAY: Flying Pig Marathon

Dare we call this forecast a runner's delight? We shall! Sunday's forecast will be mostly clear and cool. Temperatures will drop to the upper 30s for the start of the marathon. Temperatures warm to 48 by 10 a.m., a relatively comfortable temperature, especially for runners. By noon, temperatures are mild at 53 with mostly sunny conditions. Enjoy it and best luck to all of our marathoners.
