UNION TOWNSHIP, Ind. -- A few 9 On Your Side viewers caught an interesting sight in the sky this past Friday.
A funnel cloud was spotted in Union County, Indiana at about 8:40 p.m. and it continued to move east along the Butler/Preble County line.
The funnel did not touch down so we cannot call it a tornado. The also means there is no damage to report either.
Viewers Benjamin Rhodes, Jennifer McClurg and Molly Cason all captured several photos of the funnel cloud.
The Tri-State has only had one confirmed tornado so far this year in Warren and Clinton County on June 23.
Pictures from that tornado can be found here. The final report from the National Weather Service concluded that the tornado was on the ground for 20 miles from Waynesville to near Wilmington and was rated an EF1.
