UNION TOWNSHIP, Ind. -- A few 9 On Your Side viewers caught an interesting sight in the sky this past Friday.
A funnel cloud was spotted in Union County, Indiana at about 8:40 p.m. and it continued to move east along the Butler/Preble County line.
The funnel did not touch down so we cannot call it a tornado. The also means there is no damage to report either.
Viewers Benjamin Rhodes, Jennifer McClurg and Molly Cason all captured several photos of the funnel cloud.
The Tri-State has only had one confirmed tornado so far this year in Warren and Clinton County on June 23 .
Pictures from that tornado can be found here . The final report from the National Weather Service concluded that the tornado was on the ground for 20 miles from Waynesville to near Wilmington and was rated an EF1.
