After snow, ice and rain on Tuesday, another blast of cold air will take over -- and leave us shaking in our boots!

The 9 First Warning Weather Team wants to give you an early heads-up about Thursday morning, because temperatures will drop to 10°F. This is downright frigid to begin with, but it's the wind that we really need to consider.

Winds will come in from the northwest at 5-10 mph on Thursday morning, and this will drop our wind chill to -5 to -1°. Isolated spots could drop a bit lower than that.

Can we send this back to Santa?

While temperatures at this level don't result in frostbite, they can turn dangerous if you are out in the elements too long. As always, it's important to dress in layers, limit your time outside and also limit the amount of skin exposed to the elements.

Stay warm Tri-State, it's going to be another cold one!
