A West Chester Township teen was struck and killed Saturday morning after he stopped and got out of his car along a Pennsylvania freeway.
WCPO media partner the Journal-News reports Osman Mohammad Bakali, 19, was driving west on Interstate 70 in Charleroi, south of Pittsburgh.
Bakali thought he'd struck something, so he got out to check for damage, according to the Washington County Coroner’s Office. A passing tractor-trailer hit him, and he was pronounced dead about an hour later.
The coroner's office reported he died of multiple blunt-force trauma.
Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the crash.
