CINCINNATI – Xavier fans have only a 5 ½-hour drive to St. Louis to watch the Musketeers in the NCAA Tournament.

Cincinnati fans have a 31-hour drive to Spokane, Washington, to watch the Bearcats.

That might explain why Xavier's ticket allotment was sold out Monday and  UC's was not.

There's a lot of excitement at both schools, but especially at Xavier, where the second-seeded Musketeers, coming off their best season ever, are expected to make a deep run in the tournament.

"I think the environment, just seeing everyone come together, it's really amazing to see everyone so excited," said Vanessa Rosalez, a sophomore psychology major.

Xavier fans can  find tickets at the NCAA website, but they are pricey. One ticket for both Friday and Sunday rounds range from $198 to $270.

As for the Bearcats, it's the same, but if you're part of the UCATS system, the school is still taking ticket requests Monday night. Of course, if you're driving, you better leave right now.

"Yeah, it's pretty expensive, especially for someone like me," Rosalez said. "Working is very important. When you work, you have to decide what is important and what you want to spend your money on."

If you don't go, you can catch the updates with our crews on the road.

John Popovich and Chris Riva will be in St. Louis with the Musketeers, and Keenan Singleton will be in Spokane with the Bearcats.
