CINCINNATI – Moeller senior forward Riley Voss has committed to play basketball at Cornell University, according to Moeller coach Carl Kremer.

Voss, a first-team all-Greater Catholic League South division selection last season, averaged 6.6 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 27 games for the Crusaders (23-4) in the 2015-16 season.

Voss, who is 6 feet 6, is a three-year starter for the Crusaders.

"He's a 'big' you can your offense through," Moeller coach Carl Kremer said. "He has excellent ball handling and passing skills. Cornell was looking for these qualities. Riley is also an excellent student. He will fit well into the Ivy League."

Voss also had offers that included Christian Brothers University, Hillsdale College and Air Force. Cornell offered in early August.

Moeller opens the season Dec. 2 against Pickerington North in the Ohio Valley Classic at Southern State Community College.

Official Ohio High School Athletic Association boys' basketball practice starts Nov. 4.
