CINCINNATI – The Bengals are taking a stand against domestic violence during Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills and throughout October, the club says.

It’s part of a bystander intervention campaign, “See something, do something,” in conjunction with YWCA Greater Cincinnati during National Domestic Awareness Month, according to a Bengals news release.

Public service announcements featuring linebacker Vincent Rey, punter Kevin Huber and radio analyst Dave Lapham will be shown on the video board and televisions at Paul Brown Stadium.

Posters describing signs of domestic violence will be displayed in restrooms with a message to call the YWCA Hotline at 513-872-9259 if someone you know is experiencing domestic violence.

“Domestic violence prevention matters to me because no one deserves to be put in that situation,” Huber said in a statement released by the Bengals. “One simple act can stop someone from being hurt. Everyone deserves the chance to live a long, happy life.”

“Domestic violence is pervasive. It affects people from every socioeconomic range. We are working together to teach our community what each one of us can do about it," said YWCA Greater Cincinnati President/CEO Barbara Perez.

TriHealth is also participating in the program.

The action comes five months after the Bengals came under fire for drafting Joe Mixon, who was caught on video punching a 22-year-old woman in the face when he was 18.
