A Roselawn company that helps companies build and manage their customer loyalty and promotional programs is eyeing an $11.6 million expansion that would create 18 new jobs and retain 69 employees.
Links Unlimited Holdings LLC is looking to purchase an 11.5 acre site from the city of Cincinnati in Bond Hill. After a public competition, the city received four development proposals for the land at 1140 Regina Graeter Way between Paddock Road and I-75, according to a report prepared for the Cincinnati Planning Commission.
Links Unlimited proposed a 150,000-square-foot warehouse and 30,000 square feet of office space on the site, saying it’s outgrowing its present 70,000-square-foot location in Roselawn. City Council records show the company received an eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit in 2010 when it moved 29 jobs to Roselawn. It agreed to create 10 new jobs as part of that $3.5 million expansion.
Links Unlimited did not respond to WCPO’s inquiries about the project. Its web site said the company began by selling premium golf merchandise that companies gave to its customers. Over time, it expanded into loyalty-marketing, corporate gifts and incentive programs. It also specializes in buying merchandise that customers want and distributing that merchandise on behalf of corporate clients.
City officials have yet to finalize a development agreement with the company, so it isn’t clear whether Links Unlimited will receive tax breaks to accomplish its next expansion. Also unclear: What it will pay for the land. The city’s planning staff said the site, which neighbors the corporate headquarters of Graeter’s Ice Cream Co., is worth $1.3 million.
