CINCINNATI — Forty years later, rock legends Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey sat down for first-of-a-kind, exclusive interviews with WCPO Anchor Tanya O’Rourke.

Their candid revelations about the horrific night of Dec. 3, 1979 form the basis for O'Rourke's historic documentary, "The Who: The Night That Changed Rock," which aired on WCPO Tuesday night.

O'Rourke's in-depth look at the tragic events that claimed 11 young lives outside The Who concert at Riverfront Coliseum also included interviews with survivors and families and friends of victims.

WCPO created a second version of the documentary made exclusively for our streaming platforms. You can watch that below.

In addition, WCPO.com has published four days of stories about The Who and their 1979 Cincinnati concert. They include reflections by Townshend, Daltrey and The Who's manager, Bill Curbishley, and others you won't find in the documentary due to time limitation. Find links to those stories HERE.
