If you are a fan of the outdoors and are looking for something fun to do with the kids on Saturday, we have a great option for you!

Great Parks of Hamilton County is offering free admission to all parks on Saturday as a way to get new people to explore the parks and see what all is available.

Park features include everything from harbors to boat and fish at, playgrounds, picnic areas, splashpads, biking paths, trails and breathtaking views. I checked out the splash pad at Woodland Mound and a quick preview is above in the video player.

Find all the park locations and amenities here.

We spoke to Kimberly Whitton from Great Parks this week at Woodland Mound to find out more about this free day, and we also got in on a little secret.

If you are looking for a splashpad, Kimberly says to check out Woodland Mound, Miami Whitewater Forest or Winton Woods. Kimberly did mention that admission to the splashpad is still a small fee on the free park entry day, but it's only $3.50 per child or three for $8.

So what's the secret? The location we visited, Woodland Mound, has a breathtaking view of the Ohio River. Just walk toward the back of the splashpad area and look out over the trees.

Where else can you get a view that's worth bragging about? Shawnee Lookout in the extreme southwest corner of Ohio has an unbeatable view of three states from the top of the trail.

The next free entry day with Great Parks of Hamilton County comes up on Aug. 1!
