CLAY TOWNSHIP, IN — A person is dead after a house in Clay Township caught fire late Friday night, according to Dillsboro firefighters.
Dillsboro Fire was dispatched to a fire on the 12000 block of Hon Road around 11:20 p.m. where firefighters found a house fully engulfed in flames. After the fire was extinguished, crews recovered a body from inside the house.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshall’s Office. Investigators have not released the name of the deceased.
