BROOKSVILLE, Ky. — Authorities are investigating a murder-suicide that happened at a Brooksville gas station early Monday morning.
Troopers found Austin Mcelfresh, 18, and Gregory Biffle, 33, dead at about 1:20 a.m. Monday at 1st Stop gas station on Frankfort Street, according to Kentucky State Police.
Authorities said a woman and Mcelfresh were in a car parked at the 200 block of Frankfort Street when Biffle approached the car and started shooting, hitting Mcelfresh. Biffle then shot himself. The woman in the car was not injured.
The coroner pronounced both men dead at the scene. It’s unclear what led up to the shooting.
