CINCINNATI — Two University of Cincinnati students reported separate break-ins over the long holiday weekend.

The first break-in happened on Friday, Nov. 29, around 7:20 a.m. in the 100 block of West McMillan Street, according to the university's alert system.

The student who reported the break-in said they woke up and saw a burglar in their room. The student chased the burglar out of their home, but the burglar still managed to flee with some of the victim's property.

The second break-in happened on Sunday in the 2300 block of Rohs Street, according to the university's alert system.

At this location, the student returned to their home from a few days away and found some of their, and their roommate's, property missing.

The police didn't say if the two incidents are related, and it's unknown how the burglars got into either location. Officers are still investigating both burglaries.
