You never know what you'll find with a quick glance at President Donald Trump's Twitter feed, but this is what the Internet awoke to on Monday morning:

What appears to be a resounding endorsement of his opposing party is in reality a 256-page "book" that begins auspiciously with a quote from an Athenian historian and table of contents. The remainder, though, is utter nothingness.

This literary equivalent of online trolling was put together by Michael J. Knowles, a writer for the conservative news website The Daily Wire. After getting published in February, it rose to the top of Amazon's bestseller list in March before Monday's presidential mention.

The Daily Wire celebrated with its own Tweet shortly after Trump's.

By Monday morning, the $9.99 book remained perched at the top of Amazon's "Political Parties" and "Parodies" bestseller lists.

Its description claims the book as "the most exhaustively researched and coherently argued Democrat Party apologia to date" and "a political treatise sure to stand the test of time." It also includes a disclaimer explaining that "lefty lawyers require that we state the book is mostly blank and contains precisely 1,235 words."

Trump's endorsement of the book comes not more than one week after White House counselor Kellyanne Conway appeared on Fox News, promising that Trump's administration would work with Democrats on key legislative issues.

"We would like the Democrats' help on tax reform, on healthcare reform, on infrastructure, and we certainly want Congress to move swiftly on all these," she said.
