DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- A woman's body was found on NB I-71 near the Fields-Ertel Road exit. Police said the body was found around 2 a.m. Saturday.

Police are now calling the death a "possible suicide." They identified the victim as 68-year-old Patricia A. Loose of Green Lane, Pennsylvania.

Ohio State Highway Patrol said 70-year-old Thomas Schwartz from Skippack, Pennsylvania, was driving a white 2009 Chevrolet Avalanche northbound on I-71. Loose was riding in the passenger's seat.

Investigators said Loose exited the car -- it was still moving -- and was struck by another vehicle on the interstate. The vehicle that struck and killed Loose did not stop, OSHP said.

Loose was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver, Schwartz, was examined at the scene but refused medical treatment, Warren County EMS said.

Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the case.

Multiple lanes were closed early Saturday morning and re-opened around 6 a.m.

The OSHP asks anyone with information on the crash or any witnesses to call 513-932-4444.
