When did you start working here?October 2015
Where else have you worked?13WMAZ in Macon, GA
Where did you go to college?Florida A&M University #GoRattlers!
What are you most proud of when it comes to your work?I'm most proud of my ability to tell stories in a balanced, creative and hopefully compelling way. I think I've succeeded if I can make you feel like you were at the scene and connected to the people there. I'm proud of the fact that I learn something new everyday.
What are you most proud of in your own life? I'm proud of my family (and my biggest goal is to make them proud of me). I'm proud of my career, and that it's taken me to this cool corner of the world we call the Tri-State.
What do you love about living in the Tri-State?I can't get over the architecture! I come across some beautiful new building everyday. Even city hall is incredible! I also like the fact that even if you don't live in the "hip" part of town, every single neighborhood has a strip of shops, restaurants, and things just make it unique. You can go out without going out of your way.
What are your favorite local hangouts/places, sports & cultural institutions?OTR, the Banks during football season, etc. I'm really falling in love with my neighborhood, East Walnut Hills, neighboring Obryonville, and Hyde Park.
All-time favorites… I’m much more of a show person than a movie person. Grey's, Scandal and How To Get Away with Murder are all big favorites. Then there's the Daily Show, the Nightly Show, Orange is the New Black, and when I start to miss home... my guilty pleasure: The Real Housewives of Atlanta (Don't judge).
Music: Beyoncé, Adele, John Legend, The Weeknd, old Kanye, Lauryn Hill, Whitney Houston
Books: To Kill a Mockingbird, Tuesdays with Morrie, Their Eyes Were Watching God, Native Son, The Harry Potter series
Apps I can't live without:Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Uber, Yelp, Scout (GPS app that saves my life everyday in the field), and WCPO!
