HILLSBORO, Ohio — A pedestrian was hit and killed in a crash Saturday night in Hillsboro, on U.S. 62, according to the Wilmington branch of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
According to officials, at around 10:50 p.m. Saturday night, 56-year-old Douglas Goodrich was walking along the road when he was hit by the driver of a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Goodrich was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have not yet announced whether any charges will be filed against the driver involved, and it's unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a part in the crash.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash.
