SPRINGDALE, Ohio -- A crash between two tractor trailers shut down Springfield Pike Tuesday afternoon and left one driver with serious injuries, according to Springdale Police Lieutenant Michael Ott.

The collision occurred when one driver struck the other as he attempted to pull out of an exit ramp, police said. Both drivers were injured in the wreck.

Jimmy Greene, the driver who had been attempting to turn, was taken to Mercy Hospital with minor injuries; Christian Rosewell, the other driver, was airlifted to University Hospital with serious injuries.

Springfield Pike reopened later in the evening.
