SHARONVILLE, Ohio — A crash Sunday morning in Sharonville left one person dead and sent another person to the hospital, according to the Sharonville Police Department.

Walter Gibson Jr., 50, was driving north on I-75 near Sharon road around 1:15 a.m. Sunday, when police said he crossed the median into the southbound lanes. After crossing, he struck a vehicle driven by 34-year-old Momar Kasse.

Gibson was pronounced dead at the scene after "all lifesaving attempts were exhausted," and Kasse was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The crash is still under investigation by the Sharonville Police Department, but police think speed and alcohol are factors in the crash.

The department is asking if you saw the crash or have any information about it to contact Lt. Walter Cordes at 513-563-1147.
