SHARONVILLE, Ohio -- Police are investigating what they called the "suspicious death" of a 38-year-old woman who was found dead in a mobile home park, and authorities have charged her husband with abuse of a corpse.

A neighbor called police at about midnight to report that the woman's body had been found unclothed behind a dumpster in a mobile home park on Lebanon Road, north of downtown Sharonville.

Police identified the woman as Lea Ann Smothers.

Authorities in Kentucky were holding Smothers' husband, 39-year-old Brian Smothers, in the Grant County Jail. He was listed as a "fugitive from another state."

Investigators said there was blood coming from Lea Ann Smothers' nose and mouth, but she otherwise showed no obvious signs of trauma.

Hamilton County court records state Brian Smothers dragged Lea Ann Smothers' wounded body behind a dumpster and left her there, and failed to notify anyone of her injury or death.

Investigators said they believe this was an isolated incident and others in the area should not be worried.
