DEER PARK, Ohio -- One man was killed and another was injured early Wednesday in a drive-by shooting, police said.

Someone shot Jacob H. Baker, 21, of Blue Ash, and Jarid A. Carl, 22, of Sycamore Township, at about 12:08 a.m. on Blue Ash Road near Galbraith Road.

Paramedics took them to University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Baker died, while Carl was treated and released.

The shooter was a passenger in a silver vehicle last seen headed south on Blue Ash Road, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.

Witnesses said the men were in an argument earlier in the evening at the Car Rock Cafe, located a block away from the shooting scene. According to the sheriff's office, the drive-by shooting is directly connected to that argument.

Deer Park police said "the community is safe" and the shooting was likely not random.

Anyone with information about the case should contact the Hamilton County Sheriff's Criminal Investigative Section at 513-851-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040.
