A Hamilton County judge gave a man arrested in California for an August homicide in Westwood a bond of $100,000 Thursday morning.

According to Cincinnati Police Department's homicide unit supervisor Sgt. Michelle Winslow, Mattheau Arnold was arrested the night of Aug. 22 in Los Angeles County, California in connection to the Aug. 2 death of Ricky Jackson Jr.

Jackson, 24, was found shot to death on Westwood Boulevard late that night.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office extradited Arnold back to Hamilton County, and the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office admitted Arnold into the Justice Center Wednesday.
