CINCINNATI -- Police arrested a man Sunday for threatening two transgender women with an illegal firearm and telling one he would shoot her for being gay, according to a news release from the Cincinnati Police Department.

Jerome Curry, 40, was charged with aggravated menacing, criminal intimidation and possessing a firearm under disability. He had previously been convicted of felony drug offenses.

According to the news release, Curry used a homophobic slur while threatening one of the victims and told the second she would be shot if she said anything.
