CINCINNATI — The Banks plans to welcome a crew of special-effects producers who will transform the area into a snow-covered winter wonderland come January.

According to a press release, Freedom Way will boast dozens of snow-related activities for families, including snow tubing and sledding, horse carriage rides, hockey challenges and more. The event is in the hands of Academy Award-winning special-effects producers who can count "Fargo" and "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" on their list of achievements.

Admission will run $5.00 per person for a wristband, and the festivities will be available on weekends throughout the month of January.

“We’ve made it snow for 'Superman' and 'Transformers' as well as Academy Award-winning films such as ‘Green Book,’ " said Dieter Sturm, special-effects expert, in a press release. “We blanketed Key West and Louisiana with snow, and now we can’t wait for a month of fun and flurry at The Banks in Cincinnati.”
