CINCINNATI -- Although the 20th annual Flying Pig is still three months distant and many of its runners' training regimes have yet to start, registration for the May 6 marathon was already full by Wednesday night.
Runners can still register to participate in events leading up to the main attraction, such as the Little Kings One Mile and Toyota 10K, but the full marathon is booked up and hopefuls will need to put their names on a waitlist for consideration, according to the event's official website.
Flying Pig executive director Iris Simpson Bush said Jan. 19 she expects around 42,000 people to participate in the Pig's various athletic events in 2018.
