3 injured in crash involving police cruiser in Bond Hill

CINCINNATI — An overnight crash sent an on-duty Cincinnati police officer and two others to the hospital Monday morning.

Police responded to the crash at 5000 Reading Road in Bond Hill at about 1 a.m.

According to investigators, Anthony Carter, 46, was driving south on Reading Road when he attempted to make a left turn, but crossed the path of the officer who was driving northbound, police said.

Carter and the officer were both transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with minor injuries. Both are in stable condition.

Shawna Pettus, 44, was a passenger in Carter's vehicle. She was transported to UCMC and is in serious condition.

According to police, no one charges have been filed in this crash.

The Cincinnati Police Department's Traffic Unit is investigating the crash.
