CINCINNATI -- Over-the-Rhine’s renaissance includes “one of the country’s most promising food scenes,” according to a recent article in Food and Wine. Naturally, we’ve known all along.

Writer Dave Landsel, whose other bylines (including articles about regional delicacies from North Carolina to Hawaii) indicate he’s a well-traveled man of taste, writes: "(There) is so much going on right here in Over-the-Rhine at the moment, complementing the market and the other classic spots that held on tight through it all, that a thorough investigation of the neighborhood is all but required."

He went on to praise local joints such as specialty cheese shop The Rhined, the picturesque and thoroughly delicious Please and, of course, Taste of Belgium -- he couldn’t not.

Some of Landsel’s spotlighted eateries surprised even us, indicating there’s always something new and delicious to explore in the city’s hype-iest neighborhood.

So what are you waiting for? Read the article to get some ideas, and then venture out, brave traveler, into a food scene that might not be Cincinnati’s well-kept secret for much longer.
