CINCINNATI — A 12-year-old boy was critically injured after he was struck by an unknown driver in Evanston just before 6 p.m. Wednesday evening, Cincinnati Police said.

The striking vehicle failed to stop at the scene at Gilpin Avenue and Victory Parkway, police said.

The boy was transported to University of Cincinnati Hospital and is currently in critical condition.
