CINCINNATI -- That empty storefront between Jimmy John's and Tervis at The Banks will soon be overflowing with gourmet burgers as BurgerFi opens its doors on March 20.
The chain originally announced it would open in spring 2016 when the Tervis tumbler vendor set up shop next door on East Freedom Way, but it stayed quiet until owners recently posted a sign announcing the opening date. BurgerFi did not immediately respond to WCPO's calls for more information.
According to a press release, BurgerFi is a Florida chain established in 2011 that's known for its fresh, all natural, hormone-free Angus burgers, natural fries, frozen custard, hot dogs and craft beer. This will be the chain’s first location in southwest Ohio (franchises exist in Cleveland and Lexington, Kentucky).
